  60. It's 1992 and the miners of Grimley Colliery are 
  61. facing uncertainty. Not only is the pit under threat, 
  62. but the Grimley Colliery Band is on the verge of 
  63. breaking up, that is, until Gloria arrives.
  64. <p>
  65. As the only members of the band, she somehow 
  66. manages to rekindle their enthusiasm for the 
  67. forthcoming National Championship, as well as 
  68. rekindling a childhood romance with Andy (Ewan 
  69. McGregor).
  70. <p>
  71. Lead by the passionate Danny (Pete Postlethwaite) 
  72. the band play on. Danny has his pride and his 
  73. trombonit son, Phil (Stephen Tompkinson), has his 
  74. problems. Problems which even Mr. Chuckles, the 
  75. clown, can't seem to help him solve.

  77. With the National Finals at the Royal Albert Haal 
  78. looming, can they all hold it together and secure a 
  79. famous victory for Grimley?
